My Initiatives

01.

FAMILY-BASED Public Health

Your Family-Based Public Health Initiative is a holistic approach to fostering a healthier, more prosperous Portland. By providing comprehensive support for families, we can address mental health, childcare, family counseling, somatic therapy, and other alternative healing services. This initiative recognizes that families are the foundation of our communities and that their well-being is essential to the overall health of our society.

02.

COMMUNITY-Based Public SAFETY

Your Community-Based Public Safety Initiative aims to build resilient neighborhoods by addressing food security, community safety, housing, health, and overall well-being. It will empower Neighborhood Associations to collaborate with the city government and community members to tackle these issues effectively.

03.

Socio-Ecological Infrastructure

Addressing the complex and challenging interplay between living organisms and their environment in light of climate change and other global challenges is paramount. This necessitates a comprehensive approach incorporating infrastructure for community empowerment, economic development, food production, and renewable energy. Collective responsibility and innovative strategies are essential to track progress and foster societal growth.

My Values

  • Human RIGHTS

Human rights are fundamental and universal rights that belong to every person, regardless of their background or beliefs. These rights include education, work, healthcare, and a clean environment. They also protect individuals from discrimination based on their identity. True diversity, equity, and inclusion involve respecting the rights and identities of all individuals, regardless of their differences. This respect is essential for moral rejuvenation.

  • Social EQUITY

Homelessness, a crisis intertwined with mental health, addiction, housing disparities, stagnant wages, and healthcare failures, demands our attention. Equal access to education, healthcare, housing, and employment is crucial. We must address barriers and reform laws to promote equity. Data collection and community involvement are essential to identify disparities and develop solutions. Healing Justice is critical to a prosperous and equitable Portland.

  • Economic OPTIMISM

Our local and national economic system must be reformed to encourage financial intelligence and entrepreneurialism. During the Great Depression, the central nucleus that birthed our country from the economic abyss was unified principles and ideals. Those actions, similar to today, were motivated by fear and war. We do not have to succumb to history repeating itself; we can and will define our legacy. This comes from infusing morality in decisions made in business with contracts, employees, clients, and customers.

  • Environmental JUSTICE

Environmental justice is a global movement fighting for equal access to a clean and healthy environment. It challenges systemic inequalities and ensures marginalized communities have a voice. Portland faces ecological issues like air pollution, water contamination, and hate crimes. Environmental justice seeks to address these issues by promoting equity, respect for the ecology, and community involvement in environmental decision-making.
